FULL-TIME NANNY-HOUSEHOLD MANAGER needed Wilmette Area, IL (Kenilworth, IL) 60043

This active and busy family has 2 children: 10-year-old girl and 4-year-old boy and is seeking an experienced, patient, caring and responsible nanny and house manager to care for the children, and help the home to run smoothly. The family is looking for the individual to stay with the family for many years, as they want someone to be home should anything arise with the children. Oldest child is in school full-time and youngest child is in preschool part time.  Both parents work- one part time remote, the other parent is in the office full time or traveling for work.  The children love to engage in creative playtime, arts & craft activities, and playing outdoors.  

Childcare duties include: drive children to/from school and activities (oldest child is in dance in the afternoon), play and engage in developmentally appropriate activities with children, take to library, parks, playgrounds, etc., host playdates, tidy up common areas and help children clean up after themselves, provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children.

Household duties include: keep common areas and children’s bedrooms tidy and organized, load/unload dishwasher, children’s laundry, ironing some of the children’s clothing, grocery pickup, ensure kitchen is cleaned up after children’s meals, meal prep assistance, be home for home maintenance services that will be scheduled by the family and they will provide notice of these appointments in advance, occasionally taking dog to groomer.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, kind and an excellent communicator with parents. They must have previous experience has a Nanny and House Manager.  The nanny must also be very active and engaging--kids love to ride bikes and scooters, play at the playground, etc. Nanny should be creative in coming up with age-appropriate activities to do with the children.

**Travel: Family goes to family lake house in Lake Geneva for 1 week in the summer. Family would love if Nanny can join and will have separate bedroom and bathroom to stay in during the trip.  **This is a plus-not a must!

Work days and hours::

Monday: 10am-6pm

Tuesday: 10am-6pm

Wednesday: 10am-6pm

Thursday: 8am-6pm

Friday: 10:30am-5:30pm

*NOTE: Some flexibility for occasional evenings and overnights a few times a year would be a big plus!

NOTE: Nanny must be an experienced driver and will use the extra family vehicle.

NOTE: The family has a housekeeper twice per week. 

Salary: TO BE DISCUSSED DIRECTLY WITH PLACEMENT COUNSELOR based on experience--BEFORE TAXES
