NEWBORN NANNY needed in CHICAGO, IL 60622 (West Town)
This sweet family has 1 child: almost 1-month-old baby girl and is seeking a supportive, experienced, and trustworthy Newborn Nanny to stay with their family long-term. Duties include: newborn care (feeding, diapers, and naptime), help baby achieve milestones, and create developmentally appropriate activities. Mom will be on maternity leave for the next couple of months. During that time the position will be a Nanny-Mother’s Helper position. Some days mom may be more with baby while Nanny does some household management tasks and vice versa. Household management tasks include: light housekeeping and organizational projects. MUST BE UP-TO-DATE ON VACCINES and be CPR/FIRST AID CERTIFIED or willing to become. The ideal candidate will be attentive, flexible, and helpful.
Work days and hours:
Option 1: This schedule will start ASAP as part-time and then transition into a Full-time Nanny position. Full-time Nanny schedule will take into effect on 2/3/2025—however, if Nanny is interested can start full-time schedule a bit sooner)
Part-time Schedule:
4 days per week (flexible on which 4 days as long as it is a week day): 20 hours per week (example schedules: 7am-12p or 8am-1pm)
Full-time schedule:
Monday: 9am-6pm
Tuesday: 9am-1pm
Wednesday: 7am-6pm
Thursday: 11am-5pm
Friday: 8am-6pm
Option 2: Position will start Full-time on 2/3/2025 (however, can start a bit sooner if Nanny is interested)
Full-time schedule:
Monday: 9am-6pm
Tuesday: 9am-1pm
Wednesday: 7am-6pm
Thursday: 11am-5pm
Friday: 8am-6pm
NOTE: The full-time schedule listed is for 40 hours per week—some weeks may be 40-45 hours per week. Family will let Nanny know at least 1 week in advanced when more hours will be added to the weekly schedule.
NOTE: No driving is needed for this position. If Nanny takes own car to work there is free street parking available.
NOTE: Available for occasional weekend or evening is a plus but not a must!
NOTE: Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education is a plus but not a must!
Salary: BEFORE TAXES—To be discussed with Placement Counselor
Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation (1 week Nanny’s choice and 1 week family’s choice), 6 national holidays, and 3 sick days
