PART-TIME HOUSEKEEPER-HOUSEHOLD MANAGER needed in CHICAGO, IL 60613 (Lake View)

This very nice family of 4 is seeking a discreet, professional, and self-starting Housekeeper-Household Manager to stay with their family long-term.

Daily duties include:

• Light cleaning: wipe down benches, unload dishwasher, take out the garbage, light vacuuming of main living area, and tidy around the house
• Family laundry and towels (wash, fold, and put away)
• Put away package deliveries and mail
• In the summer keep outdoor deck tidy including furniture covers on/off, light leaf blower of furniture and deck area

Weekly:

• Full house clean including: vacuum, mopping, bathroom cleaning, wash and change bed sheets, dusting, outdoor furniture wiping
• Put away dry cleaning delivery
• Put away grocery deliveries
• Blow leaves in garage
• Organize pantry and restock beverage fridges
• Maintain a shopping list for cleaning supplies and other household supplies
• Return packages

Periodically:

• Deeper clean of things such as: baseboards, walls, doors, bathroom grout, etc.
• Fridge clean
• Coffee machine clean
• Inside window cleaning
• Organize closets for family
• Organize cupboards and storage areas
• Organize garage cupboards and attic
• Organize play room and rotate toys
• Let in and direct repair people
• Clean light fixtures
• Clean fly screens and fireplace screens
• Hose down garage floor

Annually:

• Rotate summer/winter closets
• Put away outdoor Christmas and Halloween decorations (no ladder needed)
• Wash and store outdoor furniture cushions

Home is 5,000 square feet. Both parents work from home a couple days a week. There is a Nanny in the home to take care of the children. The ideal candidate will be trustworthy, take initiative, and enjoy being around children.

This is a part-time position for 3 days and 18 hours per week

Work days and hours:

Option 1: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday (family is flexible on start and end times as long as it is between the hours of 7:30am-4pm)—6 hours per day

Option 2: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (family is flexible on start and end times as long as it is between the hours of 7:30am-4pm)—6 hours per day

Option 3: Monday, Thursday, and Friday (family is flexible on start and end times as long as it is between the hours of 7:30am-4pm)—6 hours per day

NOTE: Driving is a plus but not a must! Can either use own car (mileage reimbursed) or family’s car to run errands when needed. If Housekeeper brings own car to work there is free street parking available.

NOTE: Available to watch the children on occasion when their Nanny is unable is a plus but not a must!

Salary: To be discussed with Placement Counselor
