PART-TIME HOUSEHOLD MANAGER-NANNY needed in CHICAGO, IL 60642 (West Town)

This busy family has 2 children: 5-year-old girl and almost 3-year-old girl and is seeking a helpful, proactive, and self-confident Household Manager-Nanny to stay with their family long-term. Nanny duties include: get children ready for the day (teeth brushed, do their hair—MUST be able to do simple hairstyles such as a simple braid or ponytail, and pack their backpacks), and occasionally drop them off at school. Household Manager tasks include: tidying up the children’s room, family laundry, run errands (dry cleaners, grocery shopping, etc.), organizational projects, make a list of items/inform the family of what they are running low on, help pack/unpack for vacations, oversee/manage maintenance services, and assist with birthday party planning and holidays (example: contacting vendors, purchasing decorations, wrapping presents, etc.). Mom works from home. This is mostly a Household Management position—candidate must be comfortable with parents interacting/helping with the children. Mom sometimes travels for work so it is imperative that the Nanny is punctual as dad will leave for work right when Nanny gets to the home. The ideal candidate will be diligent, hardworking, and take initiative.

Work days and hours:

Option 1: Monday-Friday: 6am-11am

Option 2: 4 days a week (must be during the weekday): 6am-11am

NOTE: Family would love if the Household Manager-Nanny could work Tuesdays and Thursday from 4pm-8pm—this is a big plus but not a must!

NOTE: Occasional date night is a plus but not a must!

NOTE: Household Manager-Nanny must be an experienced driver. Family will provide car for candidate to use. If candidate takes own car to work there is free street parking and/or parking pass family can provide.

Salary: $30 per hour

Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation, national holidays that fall on a work day, and 3 sick days
