PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME HOUSEHOLD MANAGER-NANNY needed in ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL 60004

This busy and friendly family has 3 children: 10-year-old girl, 8-year-old boy and 5-year-old boy and is seeking a mature, warm and proactive Household Manager-Nanny to stay with their family for many years. All 3 children will be at school during the day, so the position will be 75% household management tasks and 25% childcare tasks. Duties will depend on the day/time of year, but will include: prepare breakfast for the kids, pack lunches for kids, ensure children are ready for school (dressed, teeth brushed, hair, etc.), take children to school, come back home and do household tasks, pick up breakfast, load/unload dishwasher, wipe countertops, sweep/mop/vacuum floors, tidy up common areas, family laundry, light ironing (not a must), errands, grocery shopping, organizational projects, take family vehicle in to get services as needed, be there for maintenance services as needed,  pet care--feed dog, let out, take for walks, etc., pick kids up at 3:30pm (school is a 5 minute walk-so when weather is nice, nanny should walk to get the kids), prepare snacks for kids, ensure children do their homework, take children to/from after-school activities and cook dinner (family can provide recipes). In the summer, kids will be in camps, so there may be more childcare involved than household management. Mom works from home on Mondays and Fridays. The ideal candidate will be kind, hardworking, dedicated and organized.

Work days and hours: 

Option 1: 33 hours/week. (Preferred Option) 

Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday: 7am-6pm

NOTE Family could also do a Mon/Tue/Thur: 7am-6pm schedule or a Tue/Thur/Fri: 7am-6pm schedule

Option 2: 34-40 hours/week

Tuesday and Thursday: 7am-6pm

+ family can add more hours to the schedule--anywhere between 34-40 hours/week. Flexible on how these are spread. Can have the candidate spread out the hours over 4 days or 5 days. Can also have a shorter schedule with a date night, etc.
 

*NOTE:  Nanny must be an experienced driver, family will provide a car to drive children to/from school and activities and to run family errands.However, Nanny must have own vehicle as there may be times that the family asks the nanny to use her car (for errands, pick up 1-2 children, etc.).

 

Salary: $27-$32 per hour

Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation (must align with their vacation in the summer as they typically take 3 weeks of vacation in July), 6 national holidays, 4 sick days.
