AFTER-SCHOOL NANNY needed in CHICAGO, IL 60618 (LAKEVIEW)

This friendly family has 2 children: 8-year-old boy and 3-year-old girl and is seeking a playful, responsible and calm After-School Nanny to stay with their family long-term.Duties include: pick up kids from school and daycare, bring home, take to after-school activities, prepare snacks, do kids' laundry, tidy up common areas, load/unload dishwasher, play and engage in developmentally appropriate activities with kids, play games, read books, play outside, take to parks, playgrounds, etc, prepare kids to go to bed (on later days) and help get kids ready for dinner (grandma usually will cook the dinner). The ideal candidate will be very active and engaging (play sports, interact with them, etc. and will not use screen time). The ideal candidate will be engaging, reliable and independent. Both parents occasionally work from home. Grandma is in the home as well. She will usually prepare the dinner and can stay with one of the kids while the Nanny drives the other child to sports, etc.

. This is a long-term position for 5 days and 20 hours a week. 

Work days and hours

: Monday-Friday: 3pm-7pm or 4pm-8pm (Depends on the sports season)

NOTE: Nanny must be an experienced driver, family will provide a car to drive children to/from school and activities.


Salary: $28-$30 per hour TAKE HOME

Benefits: 1 week paid vacation, 6 national holidays, 3 sick days
