Part-time Housekeeper Jobs

Part-time HOUSEKEEPER needed in CHICAGO, IL 60640 (Uptown)

This friendly family of 3 is seeking a proactive, organized, and communicative Housekeeper to stay with their family long-term. Duties include: deep clean and maintain the 4,500 square foot home, mop and vacuum floors, make the beds, clean bathrooms and bedrooms, put child’s toys away, light organizational projects, laundry, occasional ironing, dusting, clean up after dinner (do the dishes, load/unload the dishwasher, take out the trash, clean kitchen floors and countertops), tidy up the main living space, and clean the cats’ litterbox. Family does have delicate items (bookshelves, music collection, and figurines) that must be handled with care. Mom is a stay-at-home parent with their 1-year-old daughter and dad works from home. The ideal candidate will be discreet, punctual, and friendly.

Work days and hours:

4 days per week (ideally Tuesday-Friday but can do Monday if candidate needs): 4pm-9pm (preferred) or 3pm-8pm

NOTE: Driving is a huge plus but not a must! Family would love if Housekeeper can run errands, do the grocery shopping, and take their car in for maintenance services. Housekeeper can use own car to run errands (and will be reimbursed for mileage) or can use the family car. If Housekeeper takes own car to/from work there is free parking available.

NOTE: Further down the line if Housekeeper is comfortable, family would love if the Housekeeper can watch their 1-year-old daughter for 30 minutes-1 hour for mom.

Salary: To be discussed with Placement Counselor (dependent upon experience)  

Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation, national holidays that fall on a work day, and 5 sick days

PART-TIME HOUSEKEEPER needed in EVANSTON, IL 60202

This busy family of 5 is seeking a reliable, experienced and discrete Housekeeper to stay with them long-term. Duties include: Deep clean and maintain the 5,000 square foot home (high traffic areas every week, and then less used rooms on a schedule), make beds, change bed linens, pick up clutter, load/unload dishwasher and laundry-adult and linens. The ideal candidate will be respectful, hardworking and trustworthy. Parents work from home in home offices. Au Pair also in home. 

Option 1 (Preferred schedule: 10 hours/week): 2 week days. 5 hours each day. Flexible on the 2 days and start/end times.

Option 2--12 hours/week: 2 week days. 6 hours each day. Flexible on the 2 days and start/end times.

Salary: Dependent on experience level--to be discussed with Placement Counselor--BEFORE TAXES

Benefits: 1 week paid vacation, national holidays and 1 sick day



Family has 1 medium dog--golden doodle.
