This nice family has 2 children: 5-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl and is seeking a safe, active, and diligent Nanny-Mother’s Helper to stay with their family long-term. Nanny will work alongside the children's grandma, who has cared for the children since their births. Some days may be more household management and other days may be more childcare (example: while grandma takes care of the children Nanny will do household management tasks, some days grandma may have one child while the Nanny has the other, etc.). Duties include: reading books, playing with toys, creating obstacle courses, following after or jogging with 5-year-old while he bikes, taking children to activity classes, organizing toys, making meals for the children, following children’s routines, and light housekeeping. Both parents work from home a couple days a week. NOTE: Grandmother is currently undergoing chemotherapy and will be undergoing radiation in the spring. The Nanny must be comfortable working with someone undergoing cancer treatment. The ideal candidate will be organized, fun, and comfortable taking directions. Duties include: deep clean and maintain the 4,500 square foot home, mop and vacuum floors, make the beds, clean bathrooms and bedrooms, put child’s toys away, light organizational projects, laundry, occasional ironing, dusting, clean up after dinner (do the dishes, load/unload the dishwasher, take out the trash, clean kitchen floors and countertops), tidy up the main living space, and clean the cats’ litterbox. Family does have delicate items (bookshelves, music collection, and figurines) that must be handled with care. Mom is a stay-at-home parent with their 1-year-old daughter and dad works from home. The ideal candidate will be discreet, punctual, and friendly.

Work days and hours:

4 days per week (ideally Tuesday-Friday but can do Monday if candidate needs): 4pm-9pm (preferred) or 3pm-8pm

NOTE: Driving is a huge plus but not a must! Family would love if Housekeeper can run errands, do the grocery shopping, and take their car in for maintenance services. Oldest child is in school full-time and youngest child is in preschool part time.  Both parents work- one part time remote, the other parent is in the office full time or traveling for work.  The children love to engage in creative playtime, arts & craft activities, and playing outdoors.  

Childcare duties include: drive children to/from school and activities (oldest child is in dance in the afternoon), play and engage in developmentally appropriate activities with children, take to library, parks, playgrounds, etc., host playdates, tidy up common areas and help children clean up after themselves, provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children.

The Director of Properties will support 4 families (all related to each other) in the Barrington area. This person will ensure that the properties (7 total) operate smoothly and anticipates the needs of the 4 families by providing hands-on service in several areas. This person is experienced, professional, organized, and detail oriented.

The Director of Properties will work closely with outside vendors to ensure that all needs are met for all of the properties. This person will also work closely with the Farm Manager.

Location: Will vary: In-person at the homes on the Barrington property, at the family office in Itasca, remote and some travel to the homes in Door County, WI.

Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:

• Collaborate and coordinate with the Farm Manager
• Oversee, maintain and inspect all designated properties (or hire and manage a local manager)
• Work with owners to schedule necessary workers and vendors--this can include: outside contractors, maintenance services , HVAC, plumbing, electrical, AV, security, exterior vendors (carpentry, siding, roofing, etc.), window cleaning, landscaping, etc.
• Prepare annual budget and report on the financial performance regularly
• Manage on-site staff (contractors and vendors)
• Establish and maintain vendor relationships (ex: landscapers, HVAC, etc.)
• Consolidate records, files and monitor service agreements
• Annual or biannual meeting with owners to review next 6-12 months of anticipated work/projects, preventative maintenance, etc.
• Travel to homes in Door County, WI periodically (Candidate will need to use their own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage)
• Create a Household Manual for each household (with vendors, maintenance needed for each property, etc)

Qualifications and characteristics:

Duties include: newborn care (diapers, feeding, naptime), toddler care for 2 year old, prepare healthy snacks and meals for 2 year old, bottles for 2 month old, wash/sterilize bottles, load/unload dishwasher, play and engage in developmentally appropriate activities with children, play games, sing songs, read books, do arts and crafts, play outside, take to parks, playgrounds, library, museum, etc. and do children's laundry. Mom works from home. Family would like the Nanny to keep a structured day (ex: activity in the morning, reading time, snack ,etc.) so the children have predictability in their day.  Nanny should have newborn and toddler experience, be very creative and an excellent communicator. 

This is a long-term position for 5 days and 40 hours a week.

Work days and hours: 

Monday-Friday: 8:30am - 4:30pm,

NOTE: Some flexibility to stay later until 5pm on occasion.
NOTE: Nanny must be an experienced driver, family will provide a car to drive children to/from school and activities.



Salary: To be discussed with Placement Counselor--based on experience. BEFORE TAXES

PART-TIME NANNY needed in NAPERVILLE, IL 60540

This loving Catholic family has 2 children: 2-year-old boy and 1-year-old girl and is seeking a patient, engaging and responsible Nanny to stay with their family long-term. Mom stays home. Some days she will be out running errands while Nanny is with both children and some days she will want to spend one on one time with one of the children while the Nanny is with the other child and vice versa. Duties include: play and engage in developmentally appropriate activities with children, read books, sing songs, do arts and crafts, teach letters, numbers, colors, play outside, play games, etc.,take to nearby parks, playgrounds, etc., get children ready for the day, prepare healthy snacks and meals for kids, tidy up common areas, load/unload dishwasher and let dogs out if needed. The ideal candidate will be very engaging with the children (not on screens or phone), be very reliable, loving and an excellent communicator.

Work days and hours:

Option 1 (15 hours/week): 

Monday: 8am-1pm

Tuesday: 8am-1pm

Wednesday: 8am-1pm

Option 2 (17 hours/week):

Monday: 8am-1pm

Tuesday: 8am-1pm

Wednesday: 9am-4pm

Option 3 (19 hours/week):

Monday: 8am-1pm

Tuesday: 8am-1pm

Wednesday: 8am-1pm

+ one weekday evening 5pm-9pm 

**NOTE: If someone is interested in working an evening 5pm-9pm every other week or even once a month that would be a big plus!

Driving not needed. Nanny does not need to drive at all.
