This sweet couple is expecting their first child: a baby girl in mid-December and is seeking a supportive, experienced, and trustworthy Newborn Nanny to stay with their family long-term. Duties include: newborn care (feeding, diapers, and naptime), help baby achieve milestones, and create developmentally appropriate activities. Mom will be on maternity leave for the next couple of months. During that time the position will be a Nanny-Mother’s Helper position. Some days mom may be more with baby while Nanny does some household management tasks and vice versa. Household management tasks include: light housekeeping and organizational projects. MUST BE UP-TO-DATE ON VACCINES and be CPR/FIRST AID CERTIFIED or willing to become. The ideal candidate will be attentive, flexible, and helpful.
Work days and hours:
Option 1: This position will start off as a Night Nanny and then transition into a Full-time Daytime Nanny position. Schedule will start as 3 days a week (any 3 days as long as it during the week day) from 9pm-6am. Night Nanny position will start 1-2 weeks after baby girl is born (anticipated due date is 12/13 but she may arrive earlier). Full-time daytime Nanny schedule will start 6-8 weeks after Night Nanny schedule starts (anticipated Daytime Nanny schedule start date: 2/3/2025)
Night Nanny Schedule
3 days per week (flexible on days as long as it is a weekday): 9pm-6am
Full-time schedule:
Monday: 9am-6pm
Tuesday: 9am-1pm
Wednesday: 7am-6pm
Thursday: 11am-5pm
Friday: 8am-6pm
Option 2: No Night Nanny position and only Daytime Nanny position (this position will start part-time starting 1-2 weeks after baby is born (anticipated due date is 12/13) and then transition into a Full-time Nanny position. Full-time Nanny schedule will take into effect on 2/3/2025)
Part-time Schedule:
4 days per week (flexible on which 4 days as long as it is a week day): 20 hours per week (example schedules: 7am-12p or 8am-1pm)
Full-time schedule:
Monday: 9am-6pm
Tuesday: 9am-1pm
Wednesday: 7am-6pm
Thursday: 11am-5pm
Friday: 8am-6pm
Option 3: No Night Nanny or Part-time Nanny and position will start Full-time on 2/3/2025

NOTE: The full-time schedule listed is for 40 hours per week—some weeks may be 40-45 hours per week. Family will let Nanny know at least 1 week in advanced when more hours will be added to the weekly schedule.

Duties include: get children ready for the day, play and engage in several developmentally appropriate activities with children, read books, sing songs, play games, play outside weather permitting, prepare healthy snacks and meals for kids, tidy up common areas, load/unload dishwasher, pick up older child from school as needed (ex: if parents have an appointment in the city, they will need Nanny to pick up child), help older child with homework if needed, teach younger child letters, numbers colors and age-appropriate learning, etc. There may be times where the parents need to take the 3 year old to appointments and Nanny will be at the home with no children. During these times, household management tasks would be needed-such as tidying up, laundry, dishes, meal prep, organization and/or errands. The ideal candidate will be calm, patient, loving, and very trustworthy. Parents work from home.
**It's very important that the Nanny is very honest and communicative if he/she is feeling sick. 3 year old is undergoing Chemotherapy and her immune system is weakened. If Nanny has been around anyone sick, he/she should tell the family and wear a mask during this time.
